About Milton Keynes City Council

Milton Keynes City Council is a unitary authority which means we have responsibilities for all local government services in MK, including education, housing, highways and social services - around 250 services in all. We’re one of the largest employers in the region, making a difference every day for local people. Whether we're protecting young people, keeping neighbourhoods clean, opening a library or building a new school, we care about our communities and aim to set a great example in our working practices. Working at the council provides a stimulating and exciting environment where our diverse and talented team are at the heart of everything we do.

Why Join us?

Just like Milton Keynes, we're truly diverse and welcoming. We recruit and promote based on people's skills, and we offer opportunities for colleagues at every stage of their career – including fantastic graduate, apprenticeship, and training and development schemes. You'll be recognised for your hard work and commitment. You'll be supported – and challenged – so you can achieve your potential, and be rewarded with a wide range of benefits. We take great pride in our community and we're always looking for people that can help us grow and share our vision.
