Our colleagues primary focus is to provide the best service possible for the residents of Milton Keynes to make a positive difference and we appreciate how important it is to reward colleagues for their support in delivering that service.
That is why we have developed a Recruitment and Retention Strategy that sets out how we recruit and retain our social workers to create a working environment where our approach and practices attracts and retains highly skilled, well supported and engaged colleagues.
Our social workers benefit from a clear career pathway through a career progression framework that creates long term stability in our social worker workforce by creating opportunities for progression and supporting professional development.

The framework is based on the Professional Capabilities Framework, ensuring our social workers understand what is expected of them as well as underpinning our vision to develop a culture of quality practice. The framework details how we support our ASYE social workers and provides structure to ensure all of our social workers can advance their practice and careers.

In 2022 I relocated to Milton Keynes from Bournemouth where I was the Manager of a Safeguarding Team and Homeless Intervention Service. I've found Milton Keynes a great place to work and live, and everyone has been extremely welcoming and friendly which has really helped with the transition of moving.
