Sheltered Housing

Sheltered Housing provides safe and secure accommodation for around 900 tenants aged 60 and over (or 55 with a support need). We aim to promote and maintain independent living, reduce social isolation and enable older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. This reduces the need for hospital, respite or care home admissions. We have an onsite Sheltered Housing Officer available during office hours to support tenants and their families.

Become a Sheltered Housing Officer

Sheltered Housing Officers provide support to tenants and families by providing information and advice, co-ordinating tenants meetings, liaising with contractors when required and checking on the welfare of tenants.

Our Culture

We're a close working team who support each other and care about the wellbeing of our colleagues. We have regular team meetings and the Sheltered Housing Officers are supported by Sheltered Housing Managers.
