As one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, Milton Keynes is a fantastic place to develop your planning career. The Council is now excited to announce the opening of its new graduate programme as part of the Planning Academy. Available to graduates passionate about joining the planning profession, this graduate programme is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to launch their career within planning. 
You will have the chance to work within the different areas of Planning and Placemaking, including Development Management, Policy, Enforcement, and Urban Design. We are also trialling the opportunity to work with other organisations to expand your experience beyond Local Government. 
In addition to gaining valuable experience to excel your career in planning, you will also be supported to undertake an RTPI accredited postgraduate degree followed by an End-point assessment (EPA) that leads to becoming a Chartered Town Planner with MRTPI status. These credentials are the gold standard in planning practice that will enable you to move into a range of planning positions.
